The enthusiastic person was one who was taken by one of the gods, guided by their strength and wisdom, and for that reason could transform the nature around them and make things happen.
Only enthusiastic people were capable of overcoming the challenges of everyday life. It was therefore necessary to become enthusiastic in order to solve the problems that arose and move to a new situation.
Enthusiasm is not a quality that is built or developed. It is a state of faith, of self-affirmation.
The enthusiastic person is one who believes in their ability to transform things, believes in themselves, believes in others, believes in the strength they have to transform the world and their own reality. They are driven to act in the world, to transform it, moved by the strength and certainty in their actions. Enthusiasm is what gives a new vision of life.
Enthusiasm is different from optimism
Many people confuse optimism with enthusiasm. Optimism means believing that something favorable will happen, even longing for it to occur, seeing the positive side of things, it is a kind stance towards the events that occur. In contrast, enthusiasm is action and transformation, it is the reconciliation between oneself and the facts, the things.
There is only one way to be enthusiastic, acting enthusiastically. If we had to wait to have the ideal conditions first in order to then become enthusiastic, we would never be enthusiastic about anything, as we would always have reasons not to be enthusiastic. It is not "the things that go well" that bring enthusiasm, it is the enthusiasm that makes us do things well.
There are people who wait for conditions to improve, for success to arrive, for their job to get better, for their relationship with their partner or family to improve before they become enthusiastic... the truth is that they will never become enthusiastic about anything.
If we believe that it is impossible to become enthusiastic about the current conditions in which we find ourselves, it is most likely that we will never get out of that situation. It is necessary to believe in oneself, in the ability to do, to transform oneself and transform the reality that surrounds us. Set aside all negativity, set aside all skepticism, stop being incredulous and be enthusiastic about life, about those around us, and about oneself.
