2025 compact pickup: what no one saw coming about this new Ford model.

The new Maverick marks a before and after in the world of compact pick-ups

The new Maverick from Ford bursts back into the Argentine market, reaffirming its disruptive character and ambition to offer a different experience within the compact pick-up segment. This time it does so with a renewed proposal: three versions, hybrid and gasoline engines, 4x4 traction across the range, and a Tremor version that takes off-road performance to another level. All of this comes with an updated design, greater technological equipment, and a total focus on connectivity.

Since its debut, the Maverick has stood out for merging the comfort of an SUV with the robustness and functionality of a truck. Almost 10,000 Argentines have already chosen it, and now, this new generation promises to maintain its leading position among consumers looking for versatility, efficiency, and superior handling both in the city and on demanding roads.

Three versions, two engines, one experience

The new Maverick is available in three versions that reflect different lifestyles and preferences:

  • XLT 2.0L EcoBoost: with 253 HP, it is ideal for those seeking performance without sacrificing comfort.
  • Lariat Hybrid 2.5L: an efficient option that combines gasoline and electric engines to achieve 196 HP with optimized consumption.
  • Tremor 2.0L EcoBoost: the most radical, designed for off-road enthusiasts. It features 4WD traction, differential lock, and a unique technical package.

Each of these versions includes standard 4x4 traction, and in the case of the Lariat, it remains the only hybrid pick-up in its category in the country, replicating the success it had in 2024 as the best-selling in its segment in the United States.

Technology at the service of comfort

The Maverick stands out for its complete and functional technological equipment. It includes a 13.2-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4, an 8-inch digital dashboard, and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Lariat and Tremor versions raise the stakes with a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system, wireless charger, integrated GPS, and remote vehicle control from the key.

Off-road Tremor: the secret mode that turns this truck into a beast

Additionally, all variants include the Ford Co-Pilot 360 package, which encompasses semi-autonomous assistants such as automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, rear camera, parking sensors, and cruise control. The more equipped versions add 360° vision, adaptive control with Stop & Go function, and trailer driving assistance.

Tremor: the new off-road reference

If there is a version that changes the rules, it is the Tremor. Inspired by the iconic F-150 Tremor, this version of the Maverick incorporates reinforced shock absorbers, elevated suspension, a 10° greater approach angle, and a One-Pedal Trail Control system, which allows for absolute control on difficult terrains. It also features rear differential lock and a challenging aesthetic: grille with copper orange details, 17” A/T tires, tow hooks, distinctive decals, and a cargo bed with LED lighting and a 120V outlet.

Functional design with its own style

The new Maverick does not limit itself to offering a more aggressive exterior design but also enhances functionality in every corner. The model includes smart storage spaces, both in the cabin and in the bed. It offers practical solutions such as compartments under the rear seats, side hooks, multiple storage options, and a design that facilitates the user's daily organization.

The electric sunroof, heated leather-trimmed seats, dual-zone climate control, and a wrapped steering wheel complete an interior designed to offer comfort without sacrificing style.

Total connectivity: FordPass and 5G

One of the most notable advancements of this new generation is the incorporation of an integrated 5G modem, which allows the vehicle to stay connected at all times. Thanks to the FordPass app, users can control key functions such as door unlocking, remote start, general vehicle status, and service appointment scheduling. All of this, at no additional cost.

Safety that protects at all times

The new Maverick continues to strongly prioritize safety. Additionally, it adds innovations such as a post-collision braking system with hazard light activation and automatic door unlocking.

Prices, colors, and warranty

The new range is offered at the following prices:

  • XLT 2.0L AWD AT: $45,400,000
  • Tremor 2.0L 4WD AT: $53,700,000
